I wonder if an Ahinga tree would grow in Michigan?
Great skywatch photos! The blue is so crisp as seen in the reflection.

Those birds look a bit like ragged washing hanging out to dry on a make-shift clothes line! Great fun shot!
But the shot of those water lilies is simply an example of Nature’s matchless beauty.

Hey, haven’t been around for while, busy doing lots of reading. Seeing a sky reflected in a lily pond is just great. Thanks for sharing.

Great shots. I especially like the water lillies. I also like the post above of the “bird on a wire”.
Klaus: What a neat shot of the birds in the blue sky.

What an interesting bird! I love your species info link. I don’t think I’ve noticed it before. I love it! I’ll be looking for it from now on.
The water lilies shot is beautiful but then I expect no less.

This is the best photo I have ever seen of Anhingas. I did not know they were so colorful and I see them all the time around here.

Your photography is always marvelous. Love those birds sitting on top of a virgin naked tree branches. They are the weather bureau watching the mood of the sky. And the fantastic mirror image of the same sky kissing the face of the water lily pond. How good is that?

I love both of your photos, and the combination is great. Fantastic choice for today’s SWF.
The birds make me think of a bird that lives in our region: Phalacrocorax carbo.

I have a hard time commenting here Klaus, because I would be sounding like a broken record with all the superlatives I can think of and is available via thesaurus dot com.
Anyway, I truly truly love that first image.

Klaus, the bird shot is incredible! I love the way they are all just chilling on the tree.
The lily pads though… there aren’t words. It’s a work of art.
