Go visit the MyWorld site to see more of our world – or even better, participate yourself!
Here’s another glimpse into my world – this one about the places I go – with me in them…
This one was taken after me stepping into a sinkhole at the beach,
while chasing after an elusive Bird…What we don’t do to get
the shot we want!

Sometimes you really can get close
to rare animals. In this case it’s the
endangered Wood Stork, who did
not mind to snatch some food out
of my hand. He also tried my fingers,
but was nice and gentle about it –
just pinched them a little.

One of the best venues to shoot wildlife
is to go kayaking.
Here Tim caught me on Withlacocheee
River.

And here’s yours truly – captured by Scott, standing in a Rainhut in Gatorlands
Bird Sanctuary and breeding marsh.

Klaus: You are the brave one and you do look like you could get close to wildlife in your watercraft. Watch out for gators at the bottom of sink holes.

Have a great week!

the fruits of your labor are sweet indeed and indeed worth every thing you go through to get that elusive shot.

Nice getting a look at the photographer. I love the first one where you stepped into the sink hole and the one feeding the bird is amazing. All good shots.

I sure hope you got the bird shot after you stepped into the sinkhole. You do go to extremes to get your capture.

Cute bird and guy…
I’m constantly doing silly stuff to get a good photo … even risked getting yelled at in a casino, lol.
happy Tuesday!

This is great–we finally get to see you in action! It makes me appreciate your animal photos even more, seeing what you go through to get them.
What a world you conquer!
You are very brave, Klaus. Please be careful. Sinkhole? Oi…
Didn’t some famous philosopher say, “I sink, therefore I am” ?

Life on the other side?? Nice captures of you by the others!!
You are the ultimate photographer. I can’t even make myself lie on the grass… yet.
Nice to see you taking those fantastic shots you take.

Enjoyed your idea for a post today, that is your world, watch out for those potholes, LOL. I forgot about bird photography weekly again so I am doing it a day late again this week. I will figure this thing out sooner or later.
I love the “behind the scenes” shots, Klaus! I’ve often thought about taking my camera out on a kayak (used to go kayaking and canoeing quite often as a teen, but that was two decades ago!), but I’m always afraid I’ll end up getting the camera or lens wet and ruining them. Definitely shows what you are willing to do to get such fantastic photos!
That is such a cool photo !!!
I love the composition … very well captured !
Looks like you have a wonderful and fun world. I would worry about my camera in a kayak.
Just a beginner you know. Amazing that a bird with such a long beak can be gentle with your fingers!
