Another glorious day at this manmade jewel. "Extreme" temperatures in Florida this time around – 27°F (-2°C) didn’t keep
me from going, especially since I knew it would get up to the low 70′s (24C) later in the day.

When I arrived at 6:30 am I had the place all for myself. Wonderfully quiet and after positioning myself in one of the most
active spots I waited for first light. And boy – did it show….

And then things happen pretty fast. Sun rises – Swarms of Boat Tailed Grackles heading out after roosting…

Swarms of Tree Swallows coming in

Hooded Meergansers, Blue-winged Teal, Coots, Moorhens  – all come out to play.
