A fun Meme – worth getting on board and to see!
My today’s contribution is a bit ahead of time but fresh from the oven. In part to quench the interest of a fellow birder, who saw me falling all over myself getting these shots! Hi, Annie!
An Osprey
with dinner…

Wow, what a “in-your-face” kind of shot. Congratulations, Klaus!

Klaus : Congrats. Ospreys are very shy birds and given the fact that you shot this with a 80-200 lens with a 2x convertor, this is a awesome shot with incredible details.

Just read comments…I do feel a little better that he was close. I use a Nikkor f3.5-5.6 18-200mm. Have thought about getting a teleconverter, but hesitant that I would lose too much light…and too…wasn’t sure it would work on zooms. I see from you it does.

Oh my! I just got back from a walk along the edge of the Everglades…didn’t see much and what I did see ended up being horrible photos. It’s times like these that make me think I’m fairly inept as a photographer. Then I see this! I’m so impressed…

@wren:
I was shooting a Tokina 80-200mm f2.8 +2x Converter for those. This guy was really close though!
Fabulous. What length lens are you using for these?
