Softshell Turtle

Such alien looking turtles. You don’t see them too often out of the water – so when I did I of course had
to take a shot!

  1. Klaus: What a great shot, a face a mother could love. I have caught them when fishing when I was young and thought they were strange.

  5. Great shot! It does look strange. I remember the first time I saw one. It gave me an eerie feeling. Now looking at it, it looks like a deformation of a regular turtle.

Well, your shot is certainly a very cool one with it’s mouth open! The only one I ever saw and photographed was sitting in our driveway.

Interesting creature. I can’t get the tiniest bit of “cute” out of that! But it does have a certain beauty.
