Very interesting colours in this shot Klaus, suppose that what inspired you to take the shot, good eye and great job. Mike.

That’s an interesting shot. I’m trying to figure out if that’s snow or moss or what. It would be just like me to almost have my nose almost up on the tree trying to see. :-) What I really like about this is that the unfocused background colors match the colors on the ground at the base of the tree.

LOL - just envisioned you “nosing” the tree. It’s actually sand. I did some soft focus effect, as I did with most of this weeks up and coming Pictures of the Day.
They all got a little of a “Fairy Tail” flair to it - and I worked them over a bit to enhance that. :)

This is an excellent photo to capture what is on the forest floor. The colors are intruiguing. And I wouldn’t have guessed sand unless I’d read the comments. (Why I wouldn’t have when you’re in Florida, I don’t know, but it didn’t occur to me.)

Beautiful shot! It does look like a light dusting of snow on the ground!

I bet you get tired of hearing ‘great shot!’, so how about, can you believe our leaves are already starting to turn? yes, early in August our leaves are changing orange, yellow, and red! The snow will follow soon. . .

Beautiful. I figured it wasn’t snow as you live in Florida, but it surely looked like it at first!
