In my Eastern Standard Time Edition I opted to show an image of a early morning – that promises to be beautiful. Other than here with over 9 inches (22.5 cm) of rain Tropical Fay seems wanting to rectify a 2 year drought in one swoop. But 2 more days and we should see blue skies again!
Head over to Skywatch Friday’s HQ for hundreds of Skywatch images!

Morning Mist

There is an ethereal quality to this photo which makes it very appealing to me! Lovely!!
This is a special one for a mystic fantasy, great shot

A hazy morning – it was nice you were out, far too early for me. Impressed again.

What a dramatic storm shot! Love the trees … hope Fay passes w/o wreaking havoc.

Mazal tov on your first year and 1000th picture. What can I say about your slideshow and all your images? — They just pick me up and blow me away.

If those trees could tell a story! (Can’t help thinking of Mr. Watson, of Peter Matthiessen’s trilogy.)

Ooops! I thought I commented on this one. I must have gotten distracted.
I’ve always liked that morning haze and one of these days I’ll have my camera with me when I see it. I really like this.

What a contrast to show those 2 trees together outlined in the mist – wonderful!

Morning mist has such a magical, soulful mystery. This pic catures the very essence of that inner beauty!
TS Fay is one of the many reasons I’m glad I don’t live in Florida any more. 3 in a row in 2004 were more than enough!
Love the pic. Very serene and peaceful.

Very cool. The misty look and the Spanish Moss kind of makes it look creepy. I haven’t been able to get any shots of TS Fay yet. I think the eye may have finally passed over us.

Wow, “lush” doesn’t begin to describe that shot, Klaus. The Florida Board of Tourism should harness your ability to make your state look so inviting!
I also wanted to let you know how much I like your black-and-white Limpkin shot in the newest I and the Bird. That’s a very distinguished portrait.

Klaus: I really like the eerie feeling of the foggy shot in the wild.
Thanks for your intro on SWF.
This is beautiful. And while you’re getting dumped on, we’re almost in drought. How does that happen? Thanks for sharing your art!

That’s a lot of rain! As much as I dislike high humidity, without it there would be no photos of mist or fog. Lovely shot, Klaus!

Lovely. The trees do not look like they belong in the same place at all, but they work well together in the picture.

The morning mist looks like the land fog in my area. Those trees have been there for a long, long time I think. Beautiful!

I love the misty feel of this and the contrast of the two trees is great! I bet you have some great stormy shots from Fay. I wish a good soaking would work its way up here.

Nope – not one storm shot. All grey in grey – and rain. While I hoped for some – I didn’t find anything worthwhile. The closest I got was yesterday pigeon!
Aaaah, I can feel the magical morning mist drenching my wrinkles away! That… and it’s still pouring at my house, too! Oh, and lots of tree branches and misc. stuff scattered all over my lawn. I’m trying to decide whether or not to try the drive to my office or work from home. Guess which way I’m leaning?

Huh – Virtua Gallery is one year old today! Got a little slideshow made up!
Step by – bring presents and cake! I eat!
