I saw a lot of Sand Hill Cranes while living in Orlando. Mostly when we went camping at Moss Park. They got close enough to take food from us, but I never noticed that they had red eyes. They do, however, make a very annoying alarm clock! LOL

All right, Klaus, how did you ever get this close to a sandhill crane? It’s a marvelous image, of course, but I don’t know any crane who would just pose for you like that and then let you walk up and get in its face! This is truly seeing eye to eye!
