The 1st thing I thought was “shrimp” but then I realized the detail on this plant made me think so! Interesting shot to ponder.

  7. Are the ferns starting to turn there already? Ours are that dark green they go just before turning yellow. I really like the detail in this photo!

    Hi Klaus
I thought this was your ‘F’ post until I scrolled down… I did not think of shrimps like others but ‘arthritis’ the fronds reminded me of an old persons hand making a fist… some poor soul who suffers from arthritis..
Yet your picture like all your pictures show the true beauty of nature.

Great photo but I don’t know what type of plant it is either. I am thinking Venus Flytrap maybe? Cool up close shot! :-)

  10. You know you’re a great photographer when you take the simplest of things and create a work of art. ;-) And if I’m not mistaken about what this is, to take something dead and give it life… that’s priceless!

    Beautiful!
I love fiddleheads, the unfurled fronds of a young fern. I don’t remember ever having seen a fern frond at that late stage still so reminiscent of its nascent shape.
