Today’s Critter is an Australian Black Swan – feeling like taking a nap!

Your photos always take my breath away and leave me speechless. The words ‘beautiful’, ‘awesome’, ‘gorgeous’, ‘spectacular’, ‘amazing’, etc, never seem like enough to describe your shots.

Klaus: How cool, that is one you have to look closely to get the view.
What a different swan perspective! Usually we aim for the traditional arched neck! But it is so refreshing to see the swan in another pose! And that red is so vibrant against the black! Terrific pic! Loved it!

Lovely, as always. Regarding the name of the swan – did you take this photo at a zoo, or are these swans now a part of the nature of America?

The red eye scares me! Eeek! Running far away after plucking a feather for a keepsake!

How absolutely stunning, Klaus!
Wonderful! The only time I can get this close to a bird is when it already asleep, as with my mallard duck on a post last week.
He’s beautiful, Klaus
