How cool is that?!
Klaus: I’m glad you made this long trek to show us your great Sky.
Yeah. It was exhausting! But the result was worth the agonizing hike.
Beautiful and interesting shot. Its amazing what near

Nature at it’s finest. You really shouldn’t put yourself out so much just to get a good photograph. You could get hurt!
The oranges in your photo are just incredible.
BTW – just a wonderful job you did on ~our~ new SWF page. It’s beautiful! (Maybe that’s the approach ABC Wed. needs to take?)

Well – Denise contacted me a while ago (but I think it was for her business website)
I did reply, but never heard back from her. Then the ABC mess occurred and got me a blogspot site (http://abc-hunters.blogspot.com/) made a nice template and told her that she can taker it from there – but also never got a reply.
Oh well – what can you do!
We are glad that you felt the need to exert yourself and move those 50ft, because the result is wonderful! The color is just amazing!
Yeah – still feel every bone in my old body – but what don’t I do to keep you gals and guys entertained.
Dramatic color — and I actually like all that crap in the foreground — makes for quite a contrast…
LOL – for the crap. Nice thing is – in the dark even crap can look interesting.
Love the colors… who wouldn’t. The foreground is a legitimate frame for this shot… others might miss.
Very cool, I mean brilliant colors.

Sunsets are a weakness of mine – especially beautifully colored ones like this. You sure captured a gorgeous one!

I’m sure you’re resting now after such long walk, but I’m sure I’m not the only one who appreciates the effort. I love the foreground. (It makes me feel better about all the houses in so many of my sunrise/sunset pictures.) Oh yeah, WONDERFUL photo. Spectacular colors!

I think it doesn’t have to be the all pristine sunset ALL the time. In fact – if I would have moved another 50ft (oh my! grueling) to the left – there wouldn’t have been buildings. But I actually liked the sign and the silhouettes.
Stunning colours!

klaus, the colors of your sky are the same as my desert sunset, only you have an antena instead of a saguaro! Still, it just goes to show that beauty is found anywhere you look for it and you certainly found some close by to you! In answer to your question about my Skywatch photo, it is the same subject but not the exact same picture. I took a bunch of shots horizonally or landscape and the other I took vertically. I used the portrait format in my blogpost about the flash flooding and the landscape version for Skywatch. Thanks for dropping by and commenting. This really is an awesome photo. Glad you didn’t strain yourself getting it!

Hi Kathie,
It was tough though. Had to set up base camp at about 35ft. Couldn’t do it in one leg…;)
Awesome color! I haven’t seen a nice sunset in a long time – even when we were in NC (where the sunsets are usually always great) not one spectacular sunset! And there you are….just 50 ft away…geesh!
