Since it’s only Friday now over here – here’s my Eastern Standard Time Edition. I don’t know – but whenever I look at this picture – Miami Vice comes into mind. What about you? And don’t forget to head over to see what’s happening at the new Home of Skywatch!

Miami Vice ?
The next image is my 7th contribution to Annas’s Project Black! It also would qualify for Skywatch – I guess.

Black 7

How cool is that?
Loved the lineup! And the reflection in the glasses was a great idea. I enjoyed both of your photos!
Have a wonderful weekend!

That first photo is just brilliant! Miami Vice…just before they find the killer…the cross in the sky – what foreshadowing! Brilliant. And , again, thank you for your hard work on the new SWF site. abb

It’s hard to choose a favorite. I think maybe the sunglasses.

Very cool shot (and I am sure tough to get)! What I remember about Miami Vice? How cute Don Johnson was in those days! Haha!
Great sunglass reflection, too!

Klaus, this is my first visit here, and my first impressions are these two:
* You’re a professional photografer.
* You love birds.
Absolutely stunning photos, and I agree that I can hear the Miami Vice soundtrack when looking at the photo.

Hi Peter (which also happens to be my last name).

For your impressions:
1. At best I am semiprofessional. The money I make with Photography does unfortunately not come from Nature shots, but boring Real Estate.
2. You got that right!
Thanks for stopping by and come back! It’s open 24/7!
Cheers, Klaus
I enjoy the first photo, but I have to say the 2nd one is my favorite. I love shots that are reflected back at you from some unique place. Brilliant.

The first shot is fabulous. Love the bird element–totally makes the picture. I never saw “Miami Vice,” so I’ve no idea. It looks hot to me.
The second one is a great shot. I like the light in the lens.

Such a neat lineup! They could be the “Usual Suspects!”

Now that’s an interesting composition, Klaus! (the birds not the shades) What’s blowing me away is the exposure. I don’t know if you shot manual, semi-manual or full auto, but however it was handled, it is amazing that you’ve still got some details in those backlit birds. Great photo.

Well spotted. I did all – during this session, knowing well, that shooting into the sun is nasty – so I when through the hoops and took about 30 variations. One of then turned out this way.

Cheers, Klaus (..and don’t work too much!
Yes, that is SO VERY Miami Vice! Love the sky in the sunglasses, too. Happy SWF.

What a brilliant skywatch photo! How long did it take you to get the birds to line up like that
The light in the upper right is awesome, too. Outstanding photo!
Yeah… now that you mention it… both shots are Miami Vice’ish. I loved that show, lol. Wonderful shots, as usual

Great pictures. I like how you only left the slimmest line at the bottom of the first picture. Very creative and it works! The sunglasses could work as a skywatch too.

First of all, a huge congrats to you for the beautifully designed new Sky Watch Friday blog. You did a spectacular job on that, and I am thrilled that it has gotten to this level. Second, thank you for the very thoughtful and kind comment. I really appreciate it. I put a tremendous amount of passion in my work (my blog), and it’s nice to have people compliment it. Finally, (but not the least important part of the comment, by any means) I love your SWF shot… the birds lined up and the twinking sun. I love the starburst effect of the sun in some photographs, and you captured it wonderfully. I love it when God puts us in exactly the right spot at exactly the right moment.
