I’m glad you took a second look! I read recently that these birds were killed by the hundreds for their beautiful feathers. If you don’t see them in breeding plumage – would you ever guess? Wow!

I can’t imagine that this looked badly before. Love the red showing through the feathers and the almost iridescent color on the top of the beak right near the eyes. Whatever you did, it’s perfect!
