Camera Critters - 29

My CC contribution - an American White Pelican View definition in a new window. These guys are huge! Impressively so! Quite a bit larger than it’s cousin the Brown Pelican View definition in a new window! They like chilling out at lakes inland, too - not only in coastal regions.

Wonderful shot. I don’t remember seeing any pelicans when I lived in Florida, although one of my sunset pictures at Lake Apopka did have about half dozen large white birds off in the distance. Could have been pelicans. I really enjoy your pictures. Sorry I haven’t visited for a day or two.

Very good back lighting ;) That is one large pelican! I have no idea how many inches go into a meter but the Aussies only have one type of Pelican who are up to 1.9m with 2.6m wingspan. I really like the orange eye ring and bill/pouch!
