Phew - X is a difficult one! Got nothing more than a play with word, changing ecstasy to Xtasy, as it is often being done. And as that you can describe the ritual the Egrets go through to find a partner. For hours they immerse themself in displaying their feather costume, trying to look as impressive and large as possible.    This is sooooooooooooo beautiful! In my mind, there is something about the shape of the displayed feathers that is “x-like” too. Good choice!

   We have egrets around here (around San Francisco Bay), but I’ve never seen this variety with the green on it’s bill — interesting…
