Skywatch Friday - 26

I thought it would be nice to have skywatch, watching the sky and what’s beyond it! And one of my recent visits to the J.F. Kennedy Space Center was just the right opportunity to do that!ExplorerRocket Rocket & Engine Rocket Garden And don’t forget to visit our Skywatch Friday Host the fabulous Tom, to participate or to see what others have been showing!

Believe it or not I’ve never been to the Cape. Always coming or going as I pass with no time to detour and I guess no real inclination to see it.

Wonderful, Klaus! Is it true JFK Space Center is being closed/retired? I’d think that might have a negative on the area around it…

Klaus ~ wonderful photos, I agree they are truly heroes in every sense of the word. It amazes me how we take the launch of the shuttle for granted. Most times, we are not even aware that it is in flight.

Great Skywatch shots. For the longest time I wanted to be an astronaut growing up - from the day the Challenger exploded when I was about 4 years old until I got old enough to realize that people who need glasses aren’t allowed to fly multimillion dollar jets in the Air Force. :)
