Whites!
Quite strange. In the past years I’ve never ran into even one white butterfly. This year however I seem to spot them pretty often - even in the backyard of my office - which is not more than a spot of 40 X 20ft grass with some Beggar Ticks - a six lane highway on one and a city maintenance building on the other side.
But they seem especially partial to the Beggar ticks and come back. And - both genders of the Checkered White visit - easily differentiated by their markings. Males few, females more brown spots.

~all three are lovely for different and obvious reasons, — do prefer the checkered male (3rd)
am liking the contrast of the black-ish background with the white butterfly and the big POP of the orange-
awesome crisp shots, thanks~

Each one is so lovely! Sometimes we are so biased toward color that we forget to appreciate the beauty in simplicity! Thanks for sharing these!
