Every now and then you make a shot, that you turn back to, because there’s something to it
that fascinates, grabs you and holds you, forces you to look, think and take in what you see.
This one does that for me. One of a series of about 20 shots I took from different angles
with different settings. The other 19 have long been deleted but this one stuck and for
me it deserves it’s own – individual place in my gallery.

this shot is depicts sheer determination, this bird is setting out to do what he wants by instinct —- the form and angle are soo nice; the neck and stance very noble, and the dark grey/backdrop with the orange beak lovely.. i think i had seen this (or one of the others) a while ago.. I can understand why it is one you posted specially:~)
I can see why you kept it! There’s a real sense of dimension to its beak. Usually these birds are captured with fully spread wings…your focusing in on just the neck and face really allow for study of the face for a change.
