Caught in the backyard…

4 Categories: Photo-Journal •May 21, 2008

What makes the world for someone with a camera so interesting is - that you just have to look and you’ll find something. As in this case, shot in out Offices backyard - which from the looks of it is way more crappy than it is exciting. Unless…. you care to look closer.

Found these two - the Pygme Dragonfly - not larger than an inch and the gorgeous Antillean Blue, who did me the favor to open it’s wings! And looking up revealed this cloud, that looks so much like a feather.

And speaking of backyard luck - some hours later I was so lucky to find a beautiful example of the Variegated Fritillary View definition in a new window

All beautiful pictures. I’m like that, too. I can walk out into my garden and come back with all sorts of details. It’s amazing what you see when you open your eyes.

There is a quote (can’t remember who said it) “Nature favors the prepared mind” but in plain words “The more you LOOK the more you SEE” — seems to fit you Klaus…to a tee. The feather cloud is something only the ‘prepared’ mind would see…all are lovely. You are a gifted photographer.
