Continuing the walk through the Cypress Trees on Lake Louisa’s Shores…
The good thing being out on a weekday is that you’re alone for the most part and most people don’t
go through the thick to arrive at the places I prefer anyway – so you’re wandering around, completely undisturbed and able to watch wildlife undisturbed. Whether it is the Sandpiper – which is the 1st I ever saw inland, or the variety of insects – it simply is a blast. Huge Butterflies like the Palamedes Swallowtail (about the size of a hand) fluttering around your head completely unafraid, giving you the chance to see them mudpuddling ( they do that to replenish on minerals) or observing the fast flight of a variety of Dragonflies.
Green and Brown Anoles racing up and down trees, Wrens tending to their nest in hollow Cypress Trees – all that can be seen without walking far. So enjoy – even the “Visibility Impaired Water”.

I enjoyed the stroll. I especially like your dragonflies…something I like to photograph too. All are good, but my favorite is absolutely the Golden Winged Skimmer with the blue-ish background.

These are all so beautiful, Klaus. You are so talented and skilled with your camera. I’m glad you are because we get to see what you share. The Cypress trees made me homesick for the south. I laughed at the sign for the visibly impaired water.
Great slide show. Thanks for sharing! Lin

Thanks, Lin!
But I guess that is what it is all about – sharing! Isn’t it?
And it’s a boatload of fun as well!
Cheers, Klaus
