The Animals of Gatorland

7 Categories: Photo-Journal •December 4, 2007

Why do I make a presentation like this? Well - Gatorland itself sure doesn’t.

Not that their Website is bad - but it omits, what Gatorland really is - a mind boggling wildlife sanctuary with
basically no equal. Mind you that most of the animals you are going to see are animals, that are free and
frequent the breeding marsh, because the alligators provide something, that they and their nestling don’t
get easily: Protection! Natural predators like Bobcats, Racoons and others do have a great respect of Gators
and rather stay away, then coming anywhere close to these fierce jaws. And that allows a myriad of waterbirds
to find a safe haven at Gatorland - and it is astonishing what you can experience.

And that’s my motivation - have other photographers and lovers of nature come and look for themselves
and become addicted to this jewel of Nature as much as I have become.

Look for yourself and come by!

Have to agree with Bob - this is simply amazing! Can bite myself that I didn’t visit last time I was in Orlando.
But I thought it’ll be just sort of a roadside attraction.
It seems that this is just my kind of place, though. So I’ll be coming next year.

    Hi Klause,
The sight looks good. Fine images and good info.

I’m not sure if it’s a mistake but the info on the Woodstorks says that they have nisted ,using that wording twice in the article. Shouldn’t that read nested?
Please correct me if I’m wrong.

I can appreciate the music but it seems out of place for an animal sanctuary website.
I was thinking bird song and other nature sounds would be more fitting.

The unusual picture loading didn’t really bother me.

I wish I had you web production talents.

i need to say this new expose of Gatorland exceeds everything ! In as much as so many of your
shots are sensational, the total story told here (blues guitar too!) about your local gators, and format you
created makes this an event in and of itself!

happy new year and happy trails to you klaus! :o)
