On an impulse I went to the State Park early in the morning – while there was morning mist hovering around. The first stop was at a fishing pier to shoot some “misty” pics. Used ISO 1600 to really get fat noise…

Catching Dew on Spiderwebs wasn’t too shabby, either!

Then – after clearing up I ran into a bunch of American Robins, feeding on Holly Berries. Lots of Spiderwebs and Spiders, few Butterflies. When crossing the Heath I ran into a group of White Tail Deer (of course with my 180mm Macro mounted) Before I was able to switch I could see why they carry the name white tail….

One Palamedes Swallowtail, 4 – 5 Gulf Frittillary, 3-4 Zebra Heliconians, 3-4 Longtail Skippers, Common Buckeye View Species info in a new window, was what I saw on my walk.

Not extremely busy – but a nice trip anyway.

Here are some impressions.
