Payne’s Prairie - a pain?
Thanksgiving weekend meant for me going out and about. After reading up I decided to drive up to Payne’s Prairie State Park. The oldest of Florida’s State Parks boast with Bisons, Wild Horses and migrant Sandhill Cranes.
So far so good after hiking about 15 miles I have to say that I am utterly disappointed. Not so much that I didn’t get to see Bison or Mustangs - or plenty of wildlife.
No - I was disappointed because most of the miles I walked (a good 90%) I found myself staring at a fence to my left or right. And that takes the fun out entirely and destroys the usually good mood, that accompanies you at nature hikes.
It’s however not that I didn’t get anything - see for yourself below…

I have gone through over 80 pages and am not ashamed to tell you a few times tears for the incredable beauty and the gift of photography you so obviously have. I have copied many photos to use as screen savers. There are about ten pictures I would like to use for painting. I do most of my artwork for myself, family and friends. I have only sold a couple and am not activly seeking to sale more.
But hey if someone wants to give me a few hundred to hang one of my paintings in their home, it’s okay by me.
I take quite a few photos mainly for this purpose. I am not gifted with the camera like you are though and the detail you capture is what I am looking for when painting. I will respect your wishes.
I must comment on the gators eye. WOW loved it. And the Great white reflected in the water, really some of the photos just take your breath.
Love your work.
Thanks Diana Lutke
P.S. If you are interested in my art work I can email a couple images.
