On the last day of 2010 I thought it would be neat to look back in a different way, and to check out some stats.
I traveled about 15,000 miles (25,000km) to visit 130 locations in Florida, averaging 2.5 shoots a week and 294 miles to get there.
That translates to 1 1/2 set of tires, 4 Rotors and 4 Brakepads, a new Bordcomputer, Heat Regulator and some other small stuff.
My Website saw 391,987 unique visitors from 93 countries. It got 5,118,771 hits.
Since it’s inception I posted 1,797 posts and received 20,561 comments.
800+ sites and posts link to Virtua Gallery
I posted 600 images on Flickr in 2010 bringing the total to 2,061.
1,684 of these got comments and 1,198 were favorited.
In the View community I posted 86 images. 6 of them ended up in the permanent Galleries. One made it in each Stern.de, The View Spotlight, and into the view Magazine as double sided print and one won the international Summer contest of the Stern Magazine,
with over 50k entries from 13 countries.
The Bottomline? Despite the economic and political turmoil around the world I did have a lot of fun and memorable moments.
Almost never alone, traveling most of the time with my best shooting buddy Scott Helfrich, often meeting with Dan Kaufman, Diana Turk, Steve Leach, Leta Benedict, John Wise, Michael Skelton and Donnie Thompson.
Running into Donna Faylo, Jane Walden, Philip Simmons, Russ, Tom Dunkerton, Dina J, Claudia Marlen, Michael Libbe, Michael Rosenbaum, Kevin Barry, Dan Izzary, Cathy McArthur, Wendy, Raees, Nancy Elwood and Jamie Drake, meeting with Dennis Derby, when he was in town, as well as Ken Conger, Tim Rucci, Bradley Meyers, David Norgate, Don and not to forget finally meeting the Wrenessaince Woman Jane!
And not to forget all out South Florida peeps!
Donnie and Connie Shackleford, Kevan and Linda Sunderland, my Sweetheart Meg Puente, Hank and Linda Halsey, Annette, Gary Luciano, Roberto, Enrique, Debbie, Rob, Jean, Michael Pancier, Alan, Lita, Tom Mitchell, Frank Shufelt, Heather Green, June Damanti, Claudia and Ivan.
And with pictures of those meetings I will close the book on 2010 and hop over into 2011. You all made 2010 a year to be grateful for.
So thank you all, that crossed my path and made it such a memorable year. And should I have forgotten to mention you (Yes – YOU!!)
please let me know!
